Well this week went by so fast! Which is a good thing since it was the first week back since Spring Break. School was school. Nothing too exciting there. Unless you count being one week closer to the TAKS test, and students still not knowing half of the stuff they need to know. We are working on it though, and hopefully when the time comes they will do great. The teachers made a deal with the students that we would all do the Evolution of Dance from U-tube if they passed the test. Should be interesting to see me dance! Home life was busy this week. Ry went to the doctor twice. Once for her 6 month well-baby check-up. She was 14 lbs 13 oz, 26 in long! Such a growing girl. Everything else looked great. She started baby food this week and loves it. We have tried green beans, peas, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, and pears. She ate everything!! I think she just likes to eat no matter what we give her. We also tried some very watered down apple juice and she seemed to like that too. We went back the second time so they could retest to see if her urinary tract infection was gone and preliminary results are yes it is. We will know for sure Monday or Tuesday. We go up to Cooks Children's Hospital on Thursday this week for some more tests. They will ultrasound her kidneys and look for any sort of abnormalities. Then they are doing a VCUG. It is where they put a dye in her bladder and take x-rays to see if any is backing up into her kideys which is what causes the UTI's. We won't know the results from all of that till proabably the next week. She is such a trouper through all of this, but she is starting to realize that she does NOT like nurses! So smart.
Lynlee is doing her normal thing. She is loving that her NaNa is here during the week. Renee is helping doing the tutoring at my school, so she is staying with us during the week for the next 4 weeks. Lynlee loves it. They go play outside after school and dig up rocks or whatever Lynlee wants to do that day. I am loving it because it gives me a chance to go to the gym once both girls go to bed. Plus the extra set of hands in the morning always is helpful. Lynlee's teacher made a deal with her pre-school class for next week. Apparently, all of the two year olds decided to stop being potty trained this week, mine included. She came home in a different outfit two days in a row. So if they can all stay dry this week, they get ice cream Friday. We have been reminding Lynlee all weekend, and so far no accidents. She took to potty training pretty easy. We have been in big girl panties since January. Through the whole potty training process the funniest thing she has done is tell her dad that he is a big girl and wears big girl panites like her! I laughed for about 30 minutes because she was dead serious when she told Aaron that! She is so sweet as a big sister. The other day we were on our way home from school and Ry was getting fussy and Lynlee reached over and patted her and told her it was going to be ok and we were almost home. She is so funny! Her vocabulary never ceases to amaze me. Well it is bedtime for Lynlee so I better get her ready and in bed.
